FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Larimer County commissioners have officially signed an agreement in support of a regional crime lab.

The Loveland Reporter-Herald reports ( ) commissioners unanimously approved an intergovernmental agreement Tuesday for the Northern Colorado Regional Crime Lab. Loveland, Greeley and Weld County already have approved the agreement. Fort Collins is expected to also approve.

Evidence experts from several law-enforcement agencies will work in the lab.

Larimer County commissioners had wanted to see a detailed list of what the county would pay for with its estimated $73,000 in yearly operations and maintenance costs before approving the agreement. Deputy County Attorney David Ayraud responded with a list detailing everything from lawn care and snow removal to utilities.

Weld County will build and own the facility. Lab participants will provide equipment.
