DENVER—A former chairman of a committee that approved questions for Colorado police certification tests is now selling a $75 study guide for those tests.
KMGH-TV in Denver reports ( ) dozens of questions in the study guide also appear on the test that’s overseen by the Peace Officers Standards and Training Board.
A former deputy director of the P.O.S.T. board, Karen Duffala, says the fact that questions have been readily available for study raises concerns about the qualifications of hundreds of officers certified with the test.
Former Commerce City Police Chief Philip Baca sells the study guide and came up with questions for it. Until January, he led a P.O.S.T. board committee that oversaw testing for officers. He says the board had asked him for questions for the certification test.
