DENVER—Denver International Airport officials say nearly 4.46 million passengers traveled through the airport in March, representing a 1 percent drop from the same month last year.
Through the first three months of the year, about 12.1 million passengers have traveled through the airport, which is essentially flat compared with the same period last year.
Airport officials said Thursday there was a 4.2 percent decrease in flight operations, from 55,261 in March 2011 to 52,953 this past March.
The airport handled about 46 million pounds of cargo in March, down 12.3 percent from about 52.6 million pounds a year ago.
