While has not exactly been lying dormant during the past few years, the R&B songstress has not released a proper album since 2008. Santigold (real name Santi White) returns this spring with “Master of My Make-Believe” — easily one of 2012’s most inventive records. Current single “Disparate Youth” with its neo-dubstep beat and hooks at every turn, is a likely contender for the unofficial “song of summer” designation (think “Pumped Up Kicks” last year). Santigold’s live show, hitting the on Tuesday, is built around costume changes, wild choreography and audience sing-alongs. Tickets, $26.50-$30, are available through axs.com
