LOVELAND, Colo.—A Loveland police officer has been accused of possessing child pornography and watching a woman shower without her permission.
Larimer County prosecutors say 48-year-old Rod Bretches surrendered to authorities on Friday and was released on $10,000 bond. He faces charges of sexual exploitation of a child and unlawful sexual contact-peeping.
A message left on an answering machine at a number listed for Bretches wasn’t immediately returned. The police department says he has been placed on administrative leave.
The Loveland Reporter-Herald reports () the exploitation charge alleges Bretches possessed pornographic videos and photos, and the peeping charges allege he viewed or recorded a woman in a shower without her permission.
Investigators obtained a search warrant and searched Bretches’ home Friday.
