A wildfire north of Button Rock has been contained to less than an acre in a remote area of the Boulder Ranger District. Timber and grasses within the containment area continue to burn and firefighters are on scene taking care of hot spots and mopping up.
The fire was reported on Saturday afternoon, and firefighters believe a lightning strike caused the blaze.
Another lightning show while firefighters were cleaning up the fire briefly prompted the evacuation of crews. No injuries were reported and crews are back at work.
Two fires reported more than a week ago near the Utah border also continue to blaze, though one may reach full containment by tonight.
The Sunrise Mine wildfire burning southwest of Gateway was reported at 96 percent containment Saturday night, with full containment expected by Sunday night.
That fire has burned about 6,093 acres and is thought to have been human caused.
The Little Sand wildfire northwest of Pagosa Springs has burned almost 5,000 acres of national forest land and was last estimated at 20 percent containment Sunday morning.
The fire is thought to have been started by lightning.
