Walleye anglers are doing well at Bear Creek, Aurora and Chatfield during low light periods, both from the shore or a boat. Try minnow-style lures near the surface, with stop/go retrieve. Trout anglers should hit the high country. Elevenmile has been doing well trolling worm tipped lures. Spinney fly-fishers are doing well fishing callibaetis nymph very slowly or aggressively retrieving damselfly nymphs. The Red Feather Lakes area also has been excellent, with most all typical trout baits. Down south, Pueblo has been fishing well for black bass and walleye, with the occasional wiper. Jigs and crankbaits have been producing. Don’t ignore local ponds for fast bluegill action.
