Refugee benefit

There are more than 46,000 refugees living in Denver. , pairs refugees and cooks with local chefs to create special dishes this week (through Friday). A percentage of the proceeds from each dish sold will be donated to the African Community Center of Denver.

Celebrity Chef Tour

Tonight, a group of Denver chefs will cook at Linger as part of the national . The proceeds go toward the James Beard Foundation in New York City, a nonprofit that promotes the craft of cooking.

The chefs: Eric Skokan, Black Cat Bistro; Frank Bonanno, Mizuna, Osteria Marco, and Russell’s Smokehouse; Samm Sherman, pastry chef at Root Down and Linger; Justin Cucci, chef/owner at Linger and Root Down; Ann Cooper, “The Renegade Lunch Lady”; Amanda Cohen, chef/owner at Dirt Candy, a vegetarian restaurant in New York City; and Daniel Asher, chef at Linger.
