The folks atMishawaka Amphitheatreare grateful that the concert venue is still standing after the High Park fire came dangerously close to destroying the area. As a result, the Mish will host “Grateful Fest,” benefiting the Poudre Canyon volunteer fire department, Reverb learned Thursday morning.
The official event will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 7. Confirmed acts include , and !
All proceeds will help the first responders crew replenish its supplies after fighting back the flames for weeks.
The Mish has been collecting for the fund July 13. All of the funds collected so far will be presented to firefighters at Grateful Fest.
Roger Menell, director of programming and venue development, said in an email: “This show will be a party that celebrates the Mishawaka’s survival and pays tribute to our brave saviors locally, regionally and from far-ranging states. We will never forget that brave men and women made a choice to save the Mish and succeeded despite the ferocious intensity of the High Park fire.”
General admission tickets will go on sale Saturday, July 28 at 10 a.m. for $25 via-Kelsey Fowler
