GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A Grand Junction teen accused of randomly shooting at a stranger and objects around Mesa County in December has pleaded guilty to charges including attempted first-degree murder.
The Daily Sentinel reports ( ) 18-year-old Aaron Plotner also pleaded guilty Monday to second-degree assault causing bodily injury. He faces a prison term of between 21 and 64 years during a sentencing hearing scheduled for Aug. 24. He is being held without bond.
Authorities say that in his shooting spree, Plotner targeted vehicles, homes and at least two men, including 29-year-old Matthew Daly, who was shot through the shoulder. Plotner allegedly told investigators he had wanted to stay to watch Daly die.
Investigators say Plotner fired while he was riding in a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Darian Kintz, who also faces prison time.
