LOVELAND — Wildlife officers tranquilized a young bull moose wandering around a business park Tuesday morning. Radio talk-show hosts working in the Clear Channel Communications building spotted the moose browsing on the foliage outside their building, just west of Interstate 25, before 8 a.m.
The moose also tried — unsuccessfully — to get on the stage atThunder Mountain Harley-Davidson Amphitheatre, near a Hooters restaurant.
About 9 a.m., the moose was tranquilized and moved to the Indian Peaks Wilderness, area wildlife manager Larry Rogstad said.
“Certainly the wildfire will impact some wildlife,” he said. “But I think this is typical behavior of moose in early summer.” Loveland Reporter-Herald
