SNOWMASS VILLAGE, Colo.—The Snowmass Village Town Council is contributing about $300,000 over the next four years to keep free bus service running between the ski resort and Aspen.

The council voted Monday to take the money from a fund for a planned transit center. Aspen and Pitkin County have already given their approval for the bus plan.

According to the Aspen Daily News ( ), the no-fare round trip bus ride between Aspen and Snowmass Village or Woody Creek would cost $8 without the subsidy.
