Temperatures are headed back toward 100 degrees, and extremely high fire danger will return to a state where destructive wildfires already are burning.

Daily high temperatures in the Denver metro region are expected to through next Wednesday — and the mercury could easily hit 100 degrees Friday and Saturday.
