An Aurora police officer was injured this morning in a traffic accident.
The accident happened about 6:15 a.m. at the intersection of East 14th Avenue and Potomac Street, police said.
The officer was commuting to work on his motorcycle, not a department motorcycle, when the accident occurred.
The officer was taken to a local hospital, treated for injuries and released.
