The average cost of a gallon of gasoline in Denver has fallen 4.0 cents in the past week to $3.62 on Sunday.
The national average cost of a gallon of gasoline in the United States had fallen to $3.45 on Sunday, 17 cents a gallon cheaper than the average cost in Denver.
According to the gasoline price website prices in Denver Sunday were 10 cents a gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 7.8 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.
The national average has decreased 21.7 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 14 cents a gallon lower than this day one year ago.
“The national average has now dropped to its lowest level since Feb. 4,” said senior petroleum analyst Patrick DeHaan. “Gasoline can be found as cheap as $2.73 per gallon in Taylors, S. C.
“A majority of gasoline outlets are featuring prices that have come down significantly in the last month,” said DeHaan.
