Sarah Kurz has been named the new director of marketing for the city of Denver.

“With her skills and knowledge, Sarah will make an excellent addition to the city team,” said Mayor Michael Hancock. “She brings exemplary promotional skills to highlight the city’s programs and initiatives and showcase Denver as a world-class city where everyone matters.”

A Denver native, Kurz serves on the board of New America School, a system of charter schools devoted to new immigrants and English-language learners. She was recently named one of Colorado’s Top 25 Most Influential Young Professionals by ColoradoBiz magazine.

“I’m thrilled to be joining such a great team and to support Mayor Hancock’s vision for Denver,” said Kurz.

Since 2004, Kurz has been a member of SE2, a Colorado-based mass communications firm focused on public issues, policy and social marketing.
