Auto sales in Colorado continue to grow as new car and light truck registrations increased 16.4 percent from January to May over that same period in 2011.
Nationally, the rate increased by 8.4 percent, the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association reported.
Some 58,449 new vehicles were registered in Colorado from January to May versus 50,223 in the same period in 2011. For the month of May, year over year sales increased .7 percent.
“The continuing good news is that consumers are showing high demand for replacing their old cars and trucks,” Colorado Automobile Dealers Association president Tim Jackson said.
