Something familiar, something new: Among the 230 artists exhibiting at the annual Cherry Creek Arts Festival Friday through Sunday are 100 artists who have never before exhibited and 100 who showed last year, say festival organizers. And for all the impressive paintings, sculptures, ceramics, photography, glass and metal works, the art rendered in small, wearable forms as jewelry is always an attraction as well. Some three dozen exhibitors are jewelry designers, of Austin, Texas (bracelet, left) and Pam Caidin of Golden (pendant, right). Among the new features of the festival is Art Lab, on Clayton Street. The lab will feature artists, the Art Institute of Colorado and local DIY partners such as Fancy Tiger and Ink Lounge offering demonstrations and lessons. For details, visit cherryarts.org/artlab. Festival hours are Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The festival is in Denver’s Cherry Creek North shopping district, from Second to Third Avenues, on the six streets between Clayton and Steele Streets.
