HANOI, Vietnam — U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton wants Egypt’s Islamist president and its military to settle their differences for the good of Egypt’s people.
She says both sides need to work together to avoid derailing Egypt’s democratic transition.
Speaking in Vietnam, Clinton said Tuesday the U.S. would continue supporting Egypt. Clinton’s two-week foreign tour will take her to Egypt this weekend.
