COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Military ordnance recovered by a bomb squad from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has been identified as a training mortar with a training fuse.

Authorities said Tuesday the device found in a residential neighborhood posed no danger. The shell was turned over to a Fort Carson bomb squad.

According to KKTV-TV ( ), investigators are trying to determine the source of the training round.
