Colorado Springs police are investigating a shooting that left one man in critical condition Thursday night.
Around 8:09 p.m., officers were called to the 600 block of North Wahsatch Avenue, after they received reports of a shooting in the area, according to a news release from the Colorado Springs Police Department.
Once they arrived officers found a man with a single gunshot wound to his face. The man was rushed to a nearby hospital where he underwent surgery.
Investigators learned that the man, who has not been identified, was staying at an apartment in the area. When he answered his door, he was confronted by two men.
The three argued inside the apartment before the shooting, police said.
