Getting your player ready...
GLASGOW, Scotland — The North Korean women’s soccer team delayed the start of its Olympic match Wednesday night because the flag of rival South Korea is flying at Hampden Park.
Their protest offered the first political controversy of the London Games. The Koreans, who had five players test positive for steroids at last year’s World Cup, finally entered the stadium about 45 minutes after scheduled.
The Koreans are set to play Colombia in the other Group G game in Glasgow. The match was supposed to start shortly after the United States rallied to defeat France 4-2 in an entertaining opener.
