Reel Big Fish, real big donation
performed at the last Thursday before the Aurora shooting. The ska-masters have taken matters into their own hands by donating the proceeds from their July 20 Aspen show to the victims. Here’s a message from RBF:
“Last Thursday night, Reel Big Fish played to an amazing Denver crowd. The night was buzzing with positive energy as the last notes of the horns blared and the audience poured into the dark to head home. Little did we all know; right down the street, a tragedy of unspeakable horror was unfolding, in Aurora. Because of the love that Denver always shows us, we would like to do what we can for the friends and families of the victims. Proceeds from our show at the Belly-up in Aspen, CO last Friday July 20 will go to The Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance. Our booking agency, The Agency Group will also be making a donation. If you wish to donate or learn more about the organization visit www.coloradocrimevictims.org. All our love goes out to the people of Denver in this time of sorrow. Music and dancing is good medicine. Be with friends and boogie! “
The Lumineers and Tennis on late night television. Again.
Two Denver bands on late night television on the same night. Not together, but on separate networks. checked in with “The Chin,” Jay Leno, to play “Ho Hey” for the couple of people in existence yet to hear that infectious song. The trio is VH1’s “” artist this month. I had no idea VH1 was still on the air. Just thought you oughta know. The Lumineers’ video is available via .
checked in with Team Coco across town in Studio City. What’s more curious is the happy couple’s visit to Ryan Adams’ Pax Am studios with current XX tour opener’s, Haim. I’m wondering if we could get Alaina and Mandy Moore to duet on a new Tennis EP? Photo via .
Mr. J. Medeiros loves “The Rockies”
has brought some serious East Coast flavor on his latest video for the serious head bobbing single, “The Rockies.” Medeiros’ rhymes are capable of easily slicing through titanium like a Ginzu knife to a ripe banana. Colorado Springs REPRESENT!
