Music: Female-centric DIY festival returns

Friday-Sunday. In a town bustling with near-weekly music and community art festivals, standing apart is no easy task. But the Titwrench Fest, which celebrates four years on the scene this weekend, does it effortlessly. The three-day music event offers underground, experimental and DJ sets from female (and female-identified) artists such as Oakland, Calif., performer Zoe Boekbinder, Albuquerque’s Milch de la Máchina, Texas’ Amy Annelle and local acts Porlolo, Laura Goldhamer, Rachael Pollard, Night of Joy, Kitty Crimes, Mirror Fears and Hideous Men, among others. Various times. Friday at Glob, 3551 Brighton Blvd.; Saturday at the Mercury Cafe, 2199 California St.; Sunday at MCA Denver, 1485 Delgany St. $10-$45. All ages. .
