Getting your player ready...

When super-innovative builders Rich Laws and John Keith decided to collaborate on an enclave of luxury single-family homes that would share Lone Tree’s new-urban amenities, they estimated they’d sell about a home-and-a-half per month. Now it’s only four months since their spectacular model opened and they’re averaging three times that pace – already past the half-sold-out mark this weekend, as the town holds its fifth annual Taste of Lone Tree festival.

Carol Barrington – she’ll give you a Starbucks card just for visiting ParkSide at RidgeGate this weekend – can also show you something that those fast sales have made a rarity: Two homes under way that could have you walking to Lone Tree Arts Center, world class rec center, lots of new shopping and dining at Lincoln Commons (where the festival is) and into a thousand acres of open space, this year. Both of those homes will have fresh, contemporary architecture, creative interiors, and Energy Star 3.0 design that includes solar power at the standard price.

But it’s the location, Barrington says, that’s making these homes disappear like hotcakes. Parkside is just a half mile from amazingly successful Sky Ridge Medical Center – already into its third expansion – designated for its own Light Rail station that will give ParkSide residents choices of an easy onramp to I-25 within a mile; or of walking to the train (Lone Tree already has Light Rail into DTC and downtown from a station a mile north).
And the urban attractions don’t begin to describe the outdoor experience. Builder John Keith (his Harvard Communities launched six of Denver’s most creative patio home enclaves) drives down every weekend to climb from a trailhead that’s a block from the Harvard-Berkeley model. That path quickly rises to a view of Denver from 1,000 feet above downtown, reaching into canyons where mule deer will be the only permanent residents.

You’ll get a good view, as well, from a ‘Prairie’ spec home that’s similar to ParkSide’s decorated model – 2,667 square feet not counting added finished walkout space; far enough along for you to see how its main-floor deck and walkout will overlook a greenbelt out back. A private deck off the master (don’t go out there – it doesn’t have the rail yet!) views downtown and the mountains. The home’s priced at $540,000 – but if you got involved now, you could personalize it just the way you want, picking all of your finishes.

Barrington will also tell you about a ‘Bluff’ main-floor master plan – lives like a ranch, with guest space either upstairs or below. And you’ll tour the ‘Sky’ model with its interior by Captivating Design – easily one of the best interiors you’ll see in the Parade of Homes – trend-setting kitchen that has both walk-in and butler’s pantries, and great entertaining, office and rec spaces, able to go five or even six bedrooms, priced from $459,900. Barrington will show you Harvard-Berkeley’s unique leased-solar power system, no cost of any kind to the homeowner and providing around a 50% savings on your monthly electric bill. If you buy now you’ll get a Whirlpool Duet washer-dryer and stainless side-by-side fridge at no cost. To reach, take I-25 south past 470 and Lincoln to RidgeGate Pkwy exit; head west to Crossington, then left past the Rec Center.
