DALLAS—Colorado authorities have arrested a man sought after a husband and wife were fatally shot on their front porch in Texas.

Arapahoe County Jail records Monday showed Abey Bellette Girma was being held without bond. Online jail records didn’t list an attorney for Girma, who was arrested over the weekend on capital murder charges.

Dallas police issued a warrant for Girma in the killing of Yayehyirad Lemma and Yenenesh Desta, who ran an Ethiopian restaurant. Their bodies were found Wednesday.

An affidavit says Girma believed the couple disrespected him.

Police in Aurora, Colo., say a woman who attends St. Mary Ethiopian Orthodox Church there said the suspect was at her church Thursday and Friday, then outside her home. She called police after recognizing him as the man wanted in Texas.
