A water pipe break in west Denver will slow traffic Tuesday morning and drivers should avoid the area if possible.
A 12-inch water main broke at about 11:30 p.m. Monday at Federal Boulevard and West 2nd Avenue, according to Denver Water.
One lane will be open on northbound Federal between 2nd and 3rd Avenues Tuesday morning as crews make repairs.
Traffic on southbound Federal should not be impacted by the work.
Repairs should last through the morning rush hour. Drivers should seek alternate routes if possible.
Eight businesses on Federal Boulevard are without water as the repairs take place.
