CRAIG, Colo.—The Colorado Medical Board has suspended the license of a doctor in Craig until he completes an alcohol abuse evaluation.

The Craig Daily Press reports () the board suspended the license of Joel Miller of High Country Medical on Tuesday.

A report from the board says it had ordered Miller to undergo an initial evaluation by the Colorado Physician Health Program last month. The Colorado Physician Health Program later recommended to the board that Miller check into an out-of-state treatment facility to assess the significance of his alcohol use.

The report says Miller has so far declined to participate in an assessment.

The newspaper says it could not reach Miller for comment Wednesday.
