A deaf preschooler, 3-year-old Hunter Spanjer, is being asked to change his name sign because it looks a gun.
The 3-year-old is accused of violating the school district’s policy that forbids kids bringing to school “any instrument that looks like a weapon.”
His grandmother says everyone she’s talked to thinks this is ridiculous and his name sign, is not threatening in any way.
The Superintendent of the Grand Island School District says they are working together with the parents to come up with the best solution for the child.
