Street closures for the last big downtown Denver party of summer begin Thursday morning, when lane closures begin along Broadway, 14th and Bannock streets near Civic Center.

The cross-town drive gets complicated around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, when lanes of Colfax Avenue are closed and Broadway closes to make way for Taste of Colorado, the festival of food and music that runs 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday. The fun continues 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.

The music headliners include Lou Gramm, the voice of Foreigner, on the main stage at 7:30 p.m. Friday; Burton Cummings and the Burton Cummings Band at 1 p.m. and Spin Doctors at 7:30 p.m. Saturday; Head East at 1 p.m. and the Pointer Sisters at 7:30 p.m. Sunday; and Dustin Lynch at 1 p.m. and G. Love and Special Sauce at 5 p.m. Monday.

The city has promised that all of the streets will be reopened by 6 a.m. Tuesday.
