DENVER—Denver police say a man was seriously injured when he fell 20 feet from a wall just as people were setting up booths for a crowded downtown food and music festival nearby.
Lt. Phil Champagne, a spokesman for the Denver Fire Department, says the man fell just before 9:30 a.m. Saturday and was taken to a hospital in full respiratory arrest.
The man, whose name has not been released, fell from a wall overlooking the Civic Center Bus Station right next to where the A Taste of Colorado festival is being held. A handful of people rushed to help the man, who appeared to be in his 20s.
Police spokeswoman Raquel Lopez tells The Denver Post ( ) that detectives told her it appears to have been an attempted suicide.
