NEW YORK—Comments on the Denver Broncos by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

DENVER BRONCOS (11)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 10)—I heard Broncos acquired Peyton Manning.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 9)—Seeing Peyton Manning in orange jersey looks strange. Watching him throw TD passes looks familiar. AFC West favorites.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 6)—Up and coming young defense should get to play with lead thanks to Peyton Manning.
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 11)—Convinced Peyton gets back to playing at Pro Bowl level.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 9)—Preliminary answer about Peyton Manning’s health encouraging. Now it’s matter of holding up over long haul. If he does, Denver rules division and makes playoff picture more interesting.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 14)—Peyton Manning is going to love throwing the ball to Eric Decker.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 11)—So Peyton Manning clears first hurdle. Now comes Pittsburgh in Game One. Uh-oh.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 9)—John Fox proved in Carolina he knows how to win with smart QB and punishing ground game. He’s about to prove it again.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 13)—I was impressed with Bronco offense when I visited the camp. Demaryius Thomas, Eric Decker, Jacob Tamme and Joel Dreessen could all have career years with Peyton Manning running offense. Defense has nice looking pass rush unit, and Peyton will put opponents in catch-up mode.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 8)—Call me a homer but two words: Peyton Manning.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 10)—Broncos much sharper in third preseason game against San Francisco. Still, it will probably take some time for quarterback Peyton Manning to settle into comfortable groove.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 15)—Now that we can be reasonably sure Peyton Manning can still tear heart out of a defense, there’s good reason to believe in this team.
