A on I-70 in Mesa County over the weekend has been identified.
Fortunato Diaz-Alejandro, 34, of Fruita, died of multiple blunt-force injuries, according to the Mesa County Coroner’s Office.
Diaz-Alejandro died in a single vehicle crash that happened on Saturday night. He was ejected from the Ford pickup truck he was driving.
Diaz-Alejandro did not appear to be wearing a seat belt, according to a coroner’s office media release. His blood alcohol level was .216.
The Colorado State Patrol is investigating the fatal crash.
