PUEBLO, Colo.—Economic officials in Pueblo say the Austrian tire chain manufacturer pewag plans to open its first North American manufacturing center in Pueblo.
The Pueblo Chieftain reports ( ) the company will provide 55 new jobs at full operation.
Pewag USA President Mike Uhrenbacher says economic incentives from the city played a part in the company choosing to put a plant in Pueblo, along with access to the supply chain, a skilled and qualified workforce, training capabilities with Pueblo Community College, and support from Pueblo Economic Development Corp.
A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled Sept. 28 at pewag’s new property.
