KEYSTONE, Colo.—The timing may be premature, but Summit County is already planning for a train station for a rail system from the Front Range to the mountains.
Station locations in Summit County were the main topic of debate at a meeting of stakeholders Monday in Keystone.
According to the Summit Daily ( ), local officials foresee the need for additional property to accommodate commercial, lodging and other interested parties connected with the proposed station.
High-speed rail service is among a number of solutions proposed in a recent study intended to address growing traffic problems on the Interstate 70 mountain corridor, but no decisions have been made.
