Arvada Police are investigating two reports of children being approached by a stranger who offered them candy and tried to get them into his car.

The first incident took place Sunday around West 77th Avenue and Terry Court, near Warder Elementary School.

Then Wednesday, police believe, the same man approached a child in the parking lot of Fitzmorris Elementary School, 6250 Independence St.

In both cases, the children knew to run away and tell an adult, according to police.

The suspect in both incidents is described as a white male, 20 to 40 years old with brown hair. He had no facial hair and did not wear glasses.

His car was described as a royal blue four-door sedan.

Arvada Police advise parents to tell children to yell, shout, run and immediately tell an adult if he or she is approached by a stranger and to report suspicious circumstances to police.
