DENVER—A Denver woman convicted in a mortgage fraud scheme has been sentenced to five years in prison followed by three years on supervised release.
A federal judge also sentenced Vicki Dillard Crowe last week to pay $2.4 million in restitution.
Prosecutors say that in order to obtain mortgage loans for properties she was buying, she submitted false financial information to lenders. She also was accused of inflating the sales prices of properties and pocketing the inflated portion of the sale price.
She was convicted of mail and wire fraud.
