Emily Griffith Technical College will be rocking the city block of 13th Street between Glenarm Place and Welton Street in Denver on Tuesday, Oct. 9 from 10 a.m.-2 pm. The event is free and open to the public.
Come see interactive career demonstrations of the college’s 50 educational training programs in the Colleges of Health Sciences, Business and Technology, Trades and Design Industries. Hourly tours will showcase the 96 year-old school. Emily Griffith High School will participate in the “Emily’s Got Talent Show” and will coordinate games of four-square, and organize sidewalk chart art. Special events include: “Parade of Nations” kick off at 10 a.m. with a visit from Mayor Hancock and Councilman Albus Brooks; free food samples, manicures, haircuts, and mini-facials; Oil change and welding demonstrations; Hair styling competition judged by local salon owners; live entertainment will be headlined by world-renowned recording artist Manuel Molina; goodie bags with free items for first 100 guests; and a car show.
