Joe Coors, congressional candidate for Colorado’s District 7, will be in attendance at SAGE Truck Driving School’s Oct. 16th Job Fair. The Job Fair starts at 11 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. This must-see trucking jobs event is being held at SAGE Truck Driving School, 10401 E. 102nd Ave., Henderson, and includes free food and drink.
Drivers are needed immediately. Look online or in the “help wanted” section of the newspaper and you’ll see that professional truck drivers are in high demand. To meet the growing need, trucking companies are offering new employees more pay and benefits. Drivers rarely face layoffs, even when the economy slows down. “Trucking is rated one of America’s best middle class jobs” according to SAGE School Director, Bonnie Babcock. SAGE Truck Driving School provides training for those with no experience and refresher courses for those with experience so they can enter this fast-growing, high-paying field. SAGE has been a leader in providing quality CDL training since 1989. Sage offers a free CDL permit course, loans, grants, financial aid, VA, Class A or Class B options, company paid tuition reimbursement, one student per truck driving instruction, life time job-placement assistance, night classes and on-site CDL testing. Many SAGE graduates earn in excess of $40,000 their first year. Carriers at the job fair include Houg, May, Werner, Swift, Watkins Shepard, Knight, Great Wide, ITL, Reconserve, Growers Organic, A & W Water. Each company is ready to hire experienced and new drivers. Representatives will be on hand to answer questions like how much can a new driver earn, career opportunities in trucking, a trucker’s lifestyle, benefits. According to Robyn Smith operating center manager for May trucking, the need for qualified truck drivers continues to exceed the supply, employment opportunities are greater than ever.
