An Elk Creek firefighter was flown to an area hospital for smoke inhalation after fighting a house fire Sunday morning.
Firefighters say the fire began at a home on Ute Road near Pine. It may have originated in a chimney, then spread to an attic, taking several hours to extinguish.
Elk Creek fire officials did not know the firefighter’s condition.
