TRAIL MIX LABEL ALERT
Details: Tropical Valley Foods is alerting customers that because of a label error, Dark Chocolate, Organic Dark Chocolate and Trail Mix items which were sold in bulk quantities contain undeclared allergens. Consumers who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to wheat, soy or tree nuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
Why: Due to undeclared tree nuts, wheat, and/or soy, several Tropical Valley Foods bulk trail mixes are included in the recall. They include:
• Organic Appalachian Adventure Mix
• Organic Cedar Creek Country Mix
• Rocky Mountain Mix
• Organic Rocky Mountain Mix
• Organic Yellow Stone Hiking Mix
• Yellow Stone Hiking Mix
• Organic Sequoia Trail Mix
• Sequoia Trail Mix
Where: The products were shipped to distributors and retailers in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, Quebec City, Hong Kong and Dubai UAE.
Incidents: There have been no illnesses reported in connection with this. Customers who purchased these products may return to the store for the correct allergy information.

RUDI’S ORGANIC BREADS
Details: Rudi’s Organic Bakery, Inc., has initiated a voluntary product withdrawal due to the possible presence of metallic foreign objects in select products or product packaging. Products withdrawn from the market include only Rudi’s Organic Bakery Multigrain Oat Bread, Rudi’s Organic Bakery Colorado Cracked Wheat Bread and Rudi’s Organic Bakery Cinnamon Raisin Bread. No other Rudi’s Organic Bakery or Rudi’s Gluten-Free Bakery products are included in this voluntary market withdrawal.
How many: The affected products include the lot codes below. Lot codes are printed on the quick-lock closure, which is the plastic piece that seals the bread bag, and the UPC code is listed on the barcode on the bread package.

BANANA BOAT CONTINUOUS SPRAY SUN SCREENS
Details: Continuous spray Banana Boat suncare products have been voluntarily recalled by Energizer Holdings Inc. The nearly two dozen varieties of this sun screen included in the recall were sold over the counter between January of 2010 through September 30, 2012.
Why: There is a potential risk of these products igniting on the skin if contact is made with a source of ignition before the product dries.
Incidents: Energizer has received four reports of adverse events involving burns associated with the use of the Banana Boat SPORT Ultramist SPF 30 and 50 products in the U.S. and one event in Canada.
For more: Consumers should avoid sources of ignition and should not smoke while using these product.
