BOULDER, Colo.—Boulder County Clerk Hillary Hall has settled an election dispute by agreeing to allow observers more access to the ballot counting process during next month’s election.

Libertarian Party member Ralph Shnelvar filed a lawsuit alleging that Hall violated state law earlier this month by failing to allow observers to monitor absentee and overseas ballots.

A hearing on the issue was canceled Monday after the agreement was announced.

According to the Boulder Daily Camera ( ), vote watchers will be able to stand 4 feet from the computer screens used for signature verification instead behind the people verifying signatures.
