WESTMINSTER, Colo.—Westminster police are trying to find the driver of a car who fired at an officer during a traffic stop.
The officer was not injured in the shooting that occurred early Wednesday.
Police are looking for an older model Cadillac with temporary tags.
The case is similar to one that Denver police are investigating. Around 12:33 a.m. Tuesday, Denver officers were conducting a traffic stop when the driver exchanged gunfire with officers, then fled the scene. The vehicle appeared to be a possibly hand-painted gray 2000 Cadillac Deville with black tinted windows. Denver police say the vehicle may have a broken passenger side window and a South Dakota license plate 49CAR9.
