A 29-year-old Grand Junction man died Sunday morning when his Jeep rolled on Interstate 70 near De Beque , according to Colorado State Patrol.
The man, who has not been identified, was driving eastbound on I-70 near milepost 67 when he lost control and drove off the left side of the road, according to a news release from the state patrol.
The Jeep rolled and came to rest on its top in the center median. The driver was pronounced dead on scene, he was wearing a seat belt, the release states.
The driver was the only person in the Jeep, according to the state patrol.
Alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor to the crash, according to the release.
The weather was clear and the roads were dry at the time of the crash, the state patrol said.
