 A photo of Colorado Springs teen Kara Nichols turned up on a Las Vegas website offering escorts, but it was not posted by the missing 19-year-old, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Department said Tuesday evening.

“We have no confirmation that she is in Vegas.” El Paso County Sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Joe Roybal told the .

The picture of the aspiring model used on the adult services website was previously available on the Internet, officials said.

Nichols has been missing since Oct. 9. At a on Nov. 20 Sheriff Terry Maketa said the girl might have been taken advantage of because of her ambition to be a lingerie model.

Nichols was seen with two unidentified women on the day she was last seen by her parents, and she was on her way to Denver for a modeling job.

The picture and ad had been taken down by Tuesday afternoon. The same page advertised escort services allegedly for a pornographic movie actress.
