So far, SnowBall’s lineup has something to offer from most of the electronic subgenres, only leaving out the most high-minded electronic fans – those who neither chill to Shlomo’s diffusive melodies nor rage to RUN DMT’s maximal mash-ups. As such, the packed bill features far less genre crossover than previous years. Beyond headlining performances from and , festival-goers might be hard-pressed to find music that isn’t coming from a Monome. And would Pretty Lights devotees line up to see a serious-minded rapper like Lamar? It’s hard to picture, but should be enough to get them going.
