BRIGHTON, Colo.—A man accused of killing his girlfriend’s 14-year-old sister in Commerce City also is accused of sexual assault.

Prosecutors said Friday that 24-year-old Ezequiel Padilla-Villalobos (pah-DEE’-yah vee-ah-LOH-bohs) of Chihuahua, Mexico, is being charged with first-degree murder and five counts of sexual assault.

A police affidavit in the case said he allegedly told investigators his girlfriend had asked him to pick up her younger sister Sunday from their mother’s house in Broomfield and that he had thoughts of killing the girl while he was driving. He also allegedly said he had beer and cocaine before the slaying.

Relatives identified the victim as Gabriela Acosta.

Federal immigration officials have asked that Padilla-Villalobos be held without bond.
