Denver police have cited a man who allegedly struck a woman and a 6-month-old boy in a crosswalk Saturday with two counts of careless driving.
Shortly before 3 p.m., the driver was traveling eastbound on Colfax Avenue near Yosemite Street when he struck the woman and infant, who was riding in a stroller, said Detective John White, spokesman for the Denver Police Department.
The car and driver then smashed into a nearby building.
The woman and infant were both taken to a nearby hospital. The woman had multiple facial fractures and the infant suffered a broken leg. None of the injuries were life-threatening.
