Jan. 18 and 20. The Colorado Symphony Orchestra has been shaking it up lately, letting a little pop music slip in the door now and then. Next weekend, it goes all the way — and how — inviting rocker Kip Winger in for its “Shuffle” series, which explores the lines between musical genres. Winger, who is from Colorado, made his name as a metal guy playing in the band named Winger, and with Alice Cooper. He’ll be joined by his long-time pal Reb Beach. The program is a weird and wild lineup of music, from Paul McCartney and Björk to Ravel and Saint-Saëns and features Winger classics like “Heading for a Heartbreak” as well as “Ghosts,” a San Francisco Ballet commission. 7:30 p.m. Jan. 18 at Boettcher Concert Hall, and 2:30 p.m. Jan. 20 at PACE Center in Parker. 303-623-7876 or .
