WESTMINSTER, Colo.—Jurors have convicted a Westminster man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend in 2011.

Prosecutors say Christopher Mainock was convicted Friday of murder, kidnapping and sexual assault charges.

Investigators say he used chloroform to subdue 20-year-old Sarah Barroga-Hulett and drag her to his vehicle, where he sexually assaulted her and stabbed her.

His defense team argued he was insane at the time, but jurors disagreed.

Mainock faces a possible life sentence. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for March 15.
